Near Lexington, Kentucky

A therapist near Lexington, KY, in Georgetown or online.

Be Well Behavioral Healing does not have an office in Lexington. What it offers people who live or work there is a choice. You can make the short drive north to the practice's one office in Georgetown and meet Erin L. Smith, MSPC, LPCC, LPC in person, or you can meet by telehealth from home or any private spot in Kentucky. The care itself is the same either way.

01Lexington, KY

No Lexington office, two good options

The first option is the office at 100 Dunmore Ln in Georgetown, a short drive north of Lexington, where sessions happen in a room with Erin, away from your house and your usual routes. The second is telehealth from your own space. Both are open to Kentucky clients. The one requirement for telehealth is being inside Kentucky during the session, since a counselor's license covers where the client is at that moment. A Lexington address is not what makes you eligible; being in the state is.

02Lexington, KY

Weighing the drive against the screen

There is no right answer, only what fits your life. A drive creates a boundary: time to arrive in your own head before you talk, and time to come down before work, school pickup or dinner. It also costs time, and some weeks that time is scarce. Telehealth removes the commute but asks you to find privacy where you are, which is easier in some homes than others. Think about which one you are most likely to keep showing up for, because steady attendance matters more than the setting.

03Lexington, KY

Some distance from your own city

Some people prefer a counselor outside the city where they work, shop and worship, so they are less likely to cross paths with anyone who knows why they are there. Coming to Georgetown from Lexington offers a little of that distance, and telehealth offers more, with no waiting room at all. Either way, therapy records are protected health information. If privacy is your biggest question, ask about it directly when you talk with Erin for the first time.

04Lexington, KY

First responders in central Kentucky

First responders are a real focus of this practice. If you work in police, fire, EMS, dispatch or an emergency department in or around Lexington, you will not need to translate the job or tone down the details. Erin does not report to your department. Meeting by telehealth also spares you a waiting room in your own town. Trauma-focused options, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy, are available at the Georgetown office or on a screen, so a call that keeps replaying can be worked on directly.

Insurance, fees and a first conversation

Because Lexington is in Kentucky, the full Kentucky list applies: Aetna, Humana, Medicare, Anthem BCBS, United Healthcare and UMR. Self-pay is welcome, and a standard 60-minute session is $150, with the ART fee confirmed at your consultation. That consultation is free, lasts 15 minutes and happens on a screen: enough time to say why you are reaching out and to hear how Erin would approach it. You can book it yourself through her secure SimplePractice client portal.

Questions

Common questions

Do you have an office in Lexington?
No. The practice's only office is at 100 Dunmore Ln in Georgetown, a short drive north of Lexington. People in Lexington can meet Erin there in person, or by telehealth from anywhere in Kentucky, whichever suits their schedule and comfort.
Can I combine in-person and telehealth sessions?
Kentucky clients can be seen either way, so it is a reasonable thing to ask about. Bring it up on the free consultation and talk through what would work with your schedule, your commute and the kind of work you want to do.
Is telehealth as private as coming to the office?
Privacy on telehealth depends partly on the space you choose. A closed door, headphones and a device only you use go a long way. On Erin's side, your records are protected health information whether you meet in Georgetown or online.

In Erin's words

What she would say if you called today.

Coming in person or logging on from Lexington, you get the same things from me: a real connection first, goals we set together, and honest feedback about what is helping. If something is not working, I want to hear it so we can change course.
