Frequently asked questions
- Are you accepting new clients?
- Yes. Erin is currently accepting new clients, and the first step is a free 15-minute consultation by telehealth.
- Which states can you see me in?
- Kentucky, Arizona and Minnesota. Kentucky clients can be seen in person at the Georgetown office or by telehealth. Arizona and Minnesota clients are seen by telehealth. Licensure is tied to where you are physically located during the session, not where you are from.
- Do you take my insurance?
- Erin is in-network with Anthem BCBS, United Healthcare, UMR, and — in Kentucky — Aetna, Humana and Medicare. She also sees self-pay clients. Please verify your benefits with your insurer before the first session.
- What does a session cost?
- A 60-minute psychotherapy session is $150. The initial 15-minute consultation is free. Accelerated Resolution Therapy runs 100 minutes and a diagnostic evaluation varies in length; fees for both are confirmed at your consultation.
- What is your cancellation policy?
- Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice are charged the full session fee.
- What is Accelerated Resolution Therapy?
- ART is an eye-movement approach in the EMDR family that Erin is certified in. It can resolve a distressing memory in as little as one session, though the number of sessions varies from person to person and no outcome is guaranteed.
- Is Spiritual Heart Healing the same as therapy?
- No. Spiritual Heart Healing is a separate Christian, faith-based guided experience. It is not therapy, not clinical mental-health treatment, and not covered by insurance. Christian counseling, by contrast, is licensed clinical therapy.
- How long will I be in therapy?
- It depends on what you are working on. Erin works especially well with clients who are focused on goals and want to complete treatment, and she will talk openly with you about progress and what is working rather than leaving it unspoken.
- Do you work with couples and families?
- Yes. Erin's experience includes adults, adolescents and children in individual and group settings, as well as couples and families.
- What if I am in crisis right now?
- If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911. This practice is not a crisis service and messages are not monitored around the clock.
